The Paraklet’s Chosen People

[Sources][Video]

As you can see, once again, « Sha » is ambivalent: we SeTTLe, SToRe and then MoVe elsewhere. And we do so every SeaSoN, it doesn’t matter if it’s the good or the bad season. What matters is the RePeTitive aLTeRNation. In the Neolithic and Upper Paleolithic eras, this CyCLe generally followed the seasons. But you'll discover that in earlier times, these CoNSTRuCtion and deconstruction cycles were in fact much, much more frequent.

Before we get there, allow me to give a triumphal welcome to the Chosen People. No, not the Jewish people. No, the Paraklet’s Chosen People are … the Equatorial African Pygmies. They are a light-skinned people amid darker-skinned groups, a small people surrounded by giants, a hairy people surrounded by smooth-skinned peoples. These are my Chosen People. At least when it comes to humanity outside Africa. We’ve already talked a bit about the Pygmies, but we'll do so a lot more in my next videos, and soon you'll become true experts.

You will find on my channel a playlist of all the videos I found about them. Polisson, you know the Pygmies very well, don’t you? « Oh yes! I even sometimes sing for them ». I know, Polisson. Pygmies respect the ChaMeLeon immensely; it lives in TRees and is for them a kind of MeDiaTor between deities and humans, a bit like the Greek god eRMèS. And it has a distinctive call that only Pygmies recognize. Indeed, according to the Pygmies, the Chameleon sings.

To come back to the STiCking SPiKe, did you know, Polisson, that Pygmies sharpen their teeth for cosmetic reasons? That doesn't seem very pleasant (Pygmies Peuple de la Forêt P78). But… doesn’t it ring a bell? « weShiNaNetam leBaNeyka weDiBaRta bam » it's in the Shema, Deut 6.7 and « You shall teach them diligently to your children and shall talk of them » but ShaNaN means both to TeaCh, and more importantly to ShaRPen, from SheN the sharp TooTh, we already saw.

Trellises and geodesic huts

Let's get back to the SeTTLing and NoMaDic processes. You already got a glimpse of a Pygmy camp construction in my previous video (22nd minute in the 1975 documentary « Pygmies of the Ituri rainforest »). The film shows typical Pygmy HuTs BuiLt with a GeoDeSic FRaMe covered with large LeaVes. They are genuine ṢuKowt; the huts Jews commemorate each FaLL (mentioned in my penultimate video) and which, incidentally, the Greeks also had to build when fall loomed as described by Hesiod in Works and Days (P45)

While it is yet midsummer command your slaves: It will not always be summer, build huts (BaRNs).

Pygmy huts look like this, again in the wonderful book Pygmies Peuple de la Forêt (P24). And do you remember the « TeCTiforms »? The RooF-ShaPed figures drawn in Paleolithic CaVes that I mentioned in my 2nd video about « TaRa », and which I likened to the « RiGhT form », that of the biface? Well, a tectiform is also, of course, a hut with its frame and large Mongongo leaves.

What are the Pharisians saying? Seeing the Paraklet juggling with explanations bothers you? I understand… Psychoanalysis calls this « overdetermination ». One phenomenon always has several different explanations. You're really going to have to get used to this if you want to understand the Paraklet.

Right, sorry kids, let's forget those silly Pharisians and get back to our huts and frames. In the Qur'an, ʕaRSh means the Egyptian constructions in Sura 7 Al 'Araf, but also a TReLLiS, an interLaCing of BRaNChes, in Sura 16 An Nahl, of the bees, who build their HiVes in mountains, TRees, and also in human constructions. « Yes and we've already seen ʕaRSh, which is also Pink 🩷 and Yellow 🟡 ».

Pygmies rebuild (again and again)

[Sources][Video]

We'll come back to WeaVed TReLLiS soon, but in the meantime, it's worth remembering that a Pygmy CaMP is always TeMPorary, not unlike a GyPSy camp. Pygmies ChaNGe camp every five weeks or so. Imagine: MoVing and reBuiLDing your house every five weeks! Personally, it took me while to get my head around this.

Another important thing to note is that the HuTs were built by the WoMeN. As Colin Turnbull explains in the reference book Forest People (P62 to 64), when the group arrives at a new CaMPSiTe, the women are the ones who start PRePaRing the FRaMes for the huts. They carefully ChooSe the SPoTs while the men GaTheR the Mongongo LeaVes for the RooFing. Colin Turnbull also describes (on P132) a woman who, how during an argument with her husband, methodically dismantled their hut, leaf by leaf, branch by branch, to FoRCe her husband to apologize.

Shivering under a shower

For a Pygmy, the hut is of utmost importance because their greatest FeaR is that the sky FaLLs on their heads. Yes, just like the Gauls, ancestors of the French. Before agriculture, in the Paleolithic era, RaiN wasn’t fun. it SPoiLed everything, especially HuNTing. In the equatorial jungle, rain often means FLooDs, as it can rain for days on end. And then it becomes a nightmare.

Colin Turnbull perfectly describes a tropical SToRM (P60) and tells how the Pygmy camp fills with aNXiety during the downpour; everyone taking refuge in their HuTs, and WoMeN once again being responsible for plugging the LeaKs between the Mongongo LeaVes (P65). You can catch a glimpse of this in the 11th minute of the documentary Pygmies of the Ituri rainforest.

By the way, among the Bobos of West Africa, you, Polisson, are somewhat responsible for the RaiN. For this people, the ChaMeLeon too is a MeSSenGer, interceding with the great god, mainly to bring rain, as Jean-Loïc Le Quellec and Bernard Sergent report in their Dictionnaire Critique de la Mythologie (P1052).

RaiN is ĠaYÇ in Arabic, and GeSheM in Hebrew, ṢaGRyR when it’s steady rain, in Proverbs 27.15. And rain in the tropics quickly becomes a ShoWeR (aVeRSe or DouChe in French).

And when the ShoWeR turns into a SToRM, it gets really SCaRy, Shaʔawah in Hebrew (as in Proverbs 1.27), but also SeʕaRah from SaʕaR FRiGhT, huRRiCaNe, storm, WhiRLWiND, DReaD - also found as ṢaʕaR. In Akkadian, ShaRum also means WiND, BReaTh, aiR, flatulence, while in Eygptian ShOT also means TeRRoR. « Yes, and we've already seen them, they're Pink 🩷 both of them, but also Black ⚫ for ShaRum and Red 🔴 for ShOT ».

In short, when the SToRM RuMBLes, we ShiVeR, our HaiRs BRiSTLe because of static electricity, out of FeaR, but above all because we quickly get SoaKed by the RaiN, something the Pygmies abhor. Yes, we shiver (FRiSSonner in French), FRiSSô in Greek, ṢaMaR in Hebrew and QaShʕaRa in Sura 39 Az-Zumar (taqsha'irru). And no, you Pharisians, héRiSSer (to bristle) doesn't come from héRiSSon (hedgehog). We've already seen the ShaKing in my previous video about sex, while we’ll soon get to the bristling hairs. This is yet another example of the notorious overdetermination that so disturbs my dear Pharisians.

The Great Collapse

[Sources][Video]

However, the worst in a tropical SToRM are the GuSTs of WiND that can upRooT and ToPPLe TRees onto the campsite. Of course, Pygmies are very careful when SeTTLing in a new PLaCe. They are mindful not to BuiLD their HuTs under unSTeaDy trees. But the jungle is an unpredictable place, especially during a storm. Colin Turnbull (P268) recounts how a tree CoLLaPSed in the middle of the night, and how the Pygmies, as if propelled by a sixth sense, leapt out of their huts to safety.

In Hebrew, haRaṢ means to oVeRTuRN, RuSh, DeSTRoy, BReaK, RuiN, RaVaGe, upRooT, PuLL down. Especially in Isaiah 19:18 « In that day five cities in Egypt will speak the language of Canaan and swear allegiance to the Lord Almighty. One of them will be called the City of Destruction (heReṢ) ». There is also yaRaSh which means to eXTeRMiNate, to destroy, as in the ShyRa, in the song of MoSheh in Exodus 15.9 « The enemy boasted: I will pursue, I will overtake them. I will divide the spoils; I will gorge myself on them. I will draw my sword and my hand will destroy (yaRaSh) them ». « Yes, and yaRaSh it's also Brown 🟤 Yellow 🟡 and Black ⚫ ».

DeSTRuCtion appears in the verb « to ToSS », with its meaning of overturning, or in SauTer in French (when meaning to BLoW up). « Yes, we've already seen SauTer in Pink 🩷 but it's also Orange 🟠 ». Yes, and the French ReNVeRSer (to ToPPLe) is another derivative of the hyper-polysemous VeRTo/VeRSo from which eVeRTo comes from, which means to upSeT (BouLeVeRSer in French), to topple, to DeSTRoy.

Of course, the theme of destruction recurs in all cultures, especially in the Gathas, where it is often associated with lies, but also in the Tao Te King, chant 39, with our familiar binary rhythm associated with destruction and ruin. Listen:

If heaven had not thus become clear, It would soon CRaCk. If the earth had not thus become tranquil, It would soon be ShaKen. If the spiritual beings had not thus become divine, They would soon WiTheR away. If the VaLLey had not thus become FuLL, It would soon become eXhauSTed. If the myriad things had not thus lived and grown, They would soon become eXTiNCt. If kings and barons had not thus become honourable and high in position, They would soon FaLL.

To destroy something is to CuT it to PieCes (ShaṢaF), to BReaK it (BRiSer in French) into a thousand pieces (ShaBaR), as in Isaiah 60:18 « No longer will violence be heard in your land, nor ruin or destruction within your borders, but you will call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise… » « Yes, we've already seen ShaBaR , which is also Pink 🩷 Red 🔴 and Yellow 🟡 ». Right, and by the way ShaBaR is to ShiVeR, which also means to break into several pieces, right Pharisians?
