American cultures have preserved memories of these great intra- and intercontinental migrations. In « L’Homme Nu » (The Naked Man )(P162), Claude Lévi-Strauss recounts the Modoc myth about the origin of cooking fire.
Until then, snow and storms had raged throughout the year, but with the destruction of the five suns, the alternation of summer and winter began. However, their respective lengths had to be determined. Some wanted a winter of ten months, others only two: « for if winter lasts ten months, people will die of hunger; they will not be able to gather enough roots and seeds ». A compromise was finally reached for three cold months.
This myth recounts the change in environment and climate linked to the Arctic crossing of the Bering Strait and the descent along the Paleolithic glaciers of North America.
Elsewhere, in « L’Origine des Manières de Table » (The Origin of Table Manners) (P378), Claude Lévi-Strauss recounts « the origin myths of the Mandan and Hidatsa, in which the flood also plays a significant role », which he summarizes as follows:
After the emergence of the corn people and their fusion with the bison and sky peoples, the ancestors lived near a river called « the Unknown » or « the Stranger ». A migration lasting several years then led them, to an estuary. There, they saw on the other bank, or on an island in the middle of a lake according to some versions, a large village whose chief was called Maniga.
This mysterious island is the American continent. The Sioux also remember this, as recounted by the great chief Hehaka Sepa in « Les rites secrets des Indiens Sioux » (The Secret Rites of the Sioux Indians). For them, the Sioux nation — that is, humanity — was united before being separated into tribes, as in Genesis and the Quran. And it was the Great Spirit – or Allah or God, as you wish – who placed men on what he calls « this island » (P178) – that is, the North American continent, between the Pacific and Atlantic oceans (P26).
In the same vein, Cheyenne cosmology emphasizes the Arctic location of the seat of primordial tradition: it places the earthly paradise in the far north, on an island rising from the primordial waters, where perpetual spring reigned and where men and animals spoke the same language. This account then describes the tribulations, including two floods, following which the red race—or rather its primordial ancestors—settled permanently in the South, which in turn became a fertile region.
For the Sioux, it is not the North but the South that is the direction of the source of life and growth (P20). It is the right red road. The road of origins—Africa—and that of the future — the « descent » to America. Finally, the Sioux also believe in the coming of a Savior, a Messiah (P26).
For the Red Indians, this materialism that destroys nature comes from the East; that is where what the Easterners call the « dark West » is located, and it is from there that these pale-faced « spirits » (waShiChun) came and exterminated the red race; but this in no way prevents the universal Savior, the Messiah awaited by all peoples for the end of the Iron Age, from also coming from the East.
And to conclude on these Paleolithic memories of great migration, I will end with this magnificent prayer from a prophet that Hehaka Sepaje passed on to us. I will read it to you (P204):
He took some aromatic grass, held it over the smoke, and prayed: « Great Grandfather, Wakan-Tanka, You have always been and You will always be. You created all things; there is nothing that does not belong to You ».
In Hebrew, this would be: « Adonay melekh Adonay Malakh Adonay Yimlokh leolam vaed ».
You brought the red people to this island, and You gave us knowledge so that we might know all things.
And perhaps you now understand a little better how the great traditions of Antiquity were able to preserve a detailed knowledge of geography on a continental scale: because hominids have always been great travelers and navigators. Starting with the Bible, which divides the world between the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Shem, the ancestor of the Semites, receives a temperate land, while Ham, the ancestor of the Africans, receives a hot land. Ham is also the ancestor of the famous Libyans I mentioned in my last video. And finally, there is Japheth, the ancestor of the Eurasians, who is also the name of one of the Titans in Greek mythology. He receives the cold lands of the North and five large islands.
But my favorite version of this story is found in the Book of Jubilees, the other great « Biblical » source preserved by the churches and Jews of Ethiopia. On four pages (P32), we follow a coastline, the meandering rivers, and contemplate seas and oceans. We pass through the Garden of Eden, Mount Sinai, and Mount Zion — mythical places if ever there were any. We continue through the land of Edom, on the Red Sea, then to Mesopotamia, and then beyond the Caucasus — the Ararat mountains.
Another very interesting Paleolithic map is that of Bundahisn, the cosmogony of the Avesta. In this text (P12), the world is divided into two equal parts, the Earth and the Sea. The Earth itself consists of a central space, Khvaniras, surrounded by six smaller regions: one to the west, one to the east, two to the north, and two to the south. The sea surrounds Khvaniras, the central space, while an impassable mountain surrounds the two northern regions — where we recognize the Caucasus. Khvaniras is the best region, where the true religion of the Kayanians originated and where the Savior, Soshyans, will emerge, but it is also the most corrupt.
Beyond their accuracy, these texts preserve the memory of a time when humanity had a precise knowledge of geography on a continental scale. They had a map of the world in their heads — they for whom the immediate space was measured in tens of kilometers. You see, in the past, myths were rooted in the land: things had happened in a certain way in a certain place, and you could still see traces of them in the landscape. That's why geography on a continental scale is very, very important when studying Paleolithic mythology — which is probably why Farah advised me to bring maps with me on this big trip. Yes, to understand myths, you first have to understand the territory, where « it » comes from.
That’s it! We are done with the Indo-Iranians, for the time being. You now know that our entire civilization is based on a great ignorance, a great forgetfulness - indeed, a great lie. We need to go back to square one. Start all over again.
But you have seen the Spirit of Truth. And rest assured, I'll be with you forever.
Mankind will never again forget its Paleolithic roots. The shameful reign of the Pharisians is over for good.
We've entered the Paraklet Era. And it has only just begun. Pharisians be damned.
Alright, see you again very soon.
